Registration for the XXIX FIDE Congress is now closed. We have set a maximum capacity for this edition of the FIDE Congress to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all attendees and this has been reached. We hope to welcome you at an upcoming FIDE Congress in the near future.

FIDE-Member

Congress fee for participants who are member of a national association of FIDE, the International Federation of European Law. Please click here for an overview of all National Associations of FIDE.

Ph.D Student/Young FIDE registration

Congress fee for participants of the Young FIDE Seminar: a confirmation that you will be attending the Young FIDE Seminar is required. The organization will check your (separate) registration for this seminar at a later stage.
Congress fee for Ph.D students: a student card is required and must be uploaded. The file can be uploaded in Word, PDF, JPEG, PNG (max. 5 Mb).
Without registration for the Young FIDE Seminar/copy of student card the Non-FIDE member registration fee will be charged.

Payment methods

We accept payments by credit card (VISA, Master card and AMEX), iDEAL (Dutch participants) and payment by bank transfer. We cannot accept payment by cheque and debit card. Any additional fees (e.g. bank charges) are at own expense. Payment of the applicable registration fee must have been made within 14 days after registration or at least before the start of the congress to secure your participation.

Payment problems with credit card

If your name contains special characters this may cause an error during the payment procedure. In that case, please change your name in your contact details by removing any special characters, so that you will be able to arrange the payment. If you send an e-mail with your correct name to the XXIX FIDE Congress secretariat, fide2020@congressbydesign.com, we will change your name back in our system, so that your name will be presented correctly on your name badge.

Example special characters include: á, ä, â, ç ,ê, é, ë, î, ï, ñ, ö, õ, ô, ü.

Cancellation policy

Notification of cancellation of registration must be sent in writing to the XXIX FIDE Congress Secretariat at fide2020@congressbydesign.com.

For cancellations received up to and including 3 September 2021, a cancellation fee of 25% will be charged.
For cancellations received after 3 September 2021, no refund will be given, full amount required.
Name changes are not accepted, unless the participant is from the same company.

Privacy policy

Personal data will be collected, processed, stored by Congress by design (the “Processor”), on behalf of the XXIX FIDE Congress organizers, in its capacity as data controller, and shared with XXIX FIDE Congress organizers.

Delegates’ personal data will be retained securely and under the applicable law, you may, at any time, request access to your personal data, as well as its rectification, erasure or limited processing, portability of your data, or oppose to the processing by written request addressed to the Data Controller through the e-mail address fide2020@congressbydesign.com.

Press

Representatives of the press and media agencies with media credentials are welcome to attend the XXIX FIDE Congress. Contact the Congress Secretariat (fide2020@congressbydesign.com) for details of media registration.

By registering as media representatives for XXIX FIDE Congress, journalists, press photographers, film crews and other members of the press accept that they must comply with the XXIX FIDE Congress Press Policy. Failure to do so may result in the immediate withdrawal of press registration.

Picture taking, audio/video recording and/or filming at the XXIX FIDE Congress venue without prior permission of the organisers are prohibited. Requests for interviews of speakers or faculty should be sent to the Congress Secretariat.

Letter of invitation

Please note that we can only provide you with an invitation letter for the XXIX FIDE Congress after we received your registration and payment. After you have made the payment, please contact the XXIX FIDE Congress secretariat at: fide2020@congressbydesign.com.

Accompanying person

Please be informed that you can bring an accompanying person to the XXIX FIDE Congress. An accompanying person ticket includes the social events. Kindly note that the lunches at New Babylon and the sessions are not included. The fee for an accompanying person is € 325.
